What is really behind a person's fear in life

What is really behind a person's fear in life

There is an interesting topic regarding fear.

There is an opinion that when people face fear, it drives a person toward development, achievements, and even well-being. Fear makes a person better, more precise, and in some ways even brighter.

When I list this, I experience an internal dissonance, because it is not true. A huge number of people in the world, including well-known ones, talk about this.

In reality, this is a model used to explain a person’s success: a person, demonstrating success, often tells not the factual picture of what happened, but their own feeling and perception.

It is as if I, explaining why I live in California, said that I had a good teacher in elementary school; or that from the fifth grade I studied at a specialized school with advanced English, and therefore ended up in California. These would be fabricated, far-fetched conclusions. There can be many such reasons.

When people say: “As a child I ate potatoes and onions, there was no other food, therefore I achieved results.” Or: “I started sweeping yards, washing cars in childhood, therefore I achieved results.” Or: “I was beaten as a child, therefore I realized early the need to be an adult, left home, started working and achieved results” — does this mean that these people should treat their children the same way?

A person forms such a pattern and broadcasts it to society, but is it really the correct model? Should one act this way? Would you want your child to be afraid to go outside, afraid to enter the building entrance or go to school just because it will lead to a certain result?

People form false cause-and-effect relationships. This is an important aspect: to understand where your experience or actions actually led to a result, and where it is a fabricated story.

A good example of what a “fabricated story” is: in order to learn how to drive and feel confident behind the wheel, experience is действительно necessary. One needs to study and gain practice of a certain quality. But this does not mean that you must necessarily get into an accident, die, or harm another person. This is relatively unrelated to whether you can drive or not. You can know how to drive but end up in a situation where another person breaks the rules — and you hit them or get into an accident. To drive well, you do not need accident experience. Therefore, the statement that for a good life it is necessary to experience fear has no basis. So should one be in fear only in childhood, or also in adulthood?

People who claim that fear helps can be asked: “If fear really helps, does that mean that right now you should be kidnapped so that instead of one billion dollars you would have one hundred billion dollars or a trillion dollars? That is, you need to increase fear, and then you will end up in a good place — is that really so?”

In the modern world, society is structured in such a way that political, religious, and social systems often use fear as the main concept of human movement and development:

  • If you do not properly follow your horoscope, you will have problems.
  • If you do not attend church, you will have problems.
  • If you do not participate in charity, you will have problems.
  • If you do not help these people, you will have problems.
  • If we do not defend ourselves, we will have problems.

A concept is formed: for things to be good, certain actions must be taken, otherwise things will be bad. Fear is used as a counterbalance. When a future threat is transmitted to a person, fear arises in them already in the present.

My grandmother lived more than ninety years. In her youth, during World War II, she hid in a lake from the Germans. She developed a stable perception: war is extremely bad. This was also transmitted in society. I am not saying this is good — I am talking about a deeply ingrained strong belief. It is unlikely that this was her main problem, because there was another tragedy in her life: the death of her son at the age of eleven or twelve. I think this “outweighed” the problem of war. But she always repeated: “The most important thing is that there is no war.” That is, the worst thing that can happen is war.

At the same time, in the Soviet Union, the idea of threat was constantly intensified: someone might attack, someone would create a weapon, someone would gain an advantage: whoever is first in space will attack, whoever is first in sports will somehow attack, athletes will run — and they will attack, whoever is first in mathematics or physics will attack, whoever first creates nuclear weapons will attack. That is, a constant fear that someone will attack. This is a standard model of projecting fear. At the same time, the threat relates to the future, while a person experiences fear already in the present.

Is this a real movement of a person?

Let us look deeper at what happens when a person experiences fear. What happens to their soul-spiritual being?

The source of fear can be different. If a person is physically hurt, for example, their hand is injured, not only pain arises but also fear — fear of death or consequences. Fear arises as an impulse of energy of the astral body and the “I”.

💡

It is important to understand: fear does not arise because the brain got scared or generated some thought — there is a reason for the appearance of a specific thought, this energy of fear.

Just like with crying: a person cries not because they saw something beautiful, but because their “I” compresses the astral body. If this compression does not exist, crying does not arise. This is a clear and consistent connection.

When there is direct involvement of the physical body, another process of engagement of the physical body occurs, and you experience different sensations within it. There are impulses that arise automatically from the point of view of the physical body’s reaction, in which psychophysics is triggered. But psychophysics is triggered due to the presence of other bodies in a person: it is not just the physical body that generated something, it does not need to generate anything. If a person has died, lies as a dead physical body — you can scare it, shout, tell anything: it will not cry, smile, or be afraid. Nothing will happen.

In the soul-spiritual system after a person’s death, for a certain period of time there are the most severe fears that are not expressed on the physical body. A person goes through very complex things after death. There are a huge number of teachings that work only to ensure that a person makes the correct transition after death, for their balancing. Usually, however, a person is not concerned with what will happen after death, what pain they will experience or what fear they will experience. They associate pain and fear exclusively with the physical body.

A very important aspect. When fear arises, there is a disturbance in the perception and state of your soul-spiritual system. This is a natural process, but in fact it is a problem. It is the same as with ego: the ego-computer is a natural presence in human life; just like the connection of a person with Lucifer, Ahriman, or various energies. This is a natural event, but at the same time a problem and a task for a person. There are examples when a person lives life with a minimal level of fear. In such cases, one can speak of a благостная (harmonious, благостная) soul-spiritual system, favorable karma, sufficiently balanced and restored bodies that allow a person to live life calmly.

It seems to us that if a person does not cry or smiles at a funeral, then it is strange, bad. But if we begin to study the spiritual world, we will understand that this is a very high quality of development. Are there inadequate things there from the point of view of development? Yes. But how capable is a person of distinguishing adequate laughter at a funeral from inadequate? That is another question. Is not every good state automatically perceived as inadequate? People say: “There are selfish tears, but there are also good ones.” It is like fear: there is “bad” fear, but there is also “good” fear. But for some reason laughter in an event that should bring only sadness is always considered inadequate:

  • A person cannot divorce with a happy heart, in an open state.
  • With a happy heart, they cannot die.
  • In a happy, open state, they cannot observe the death of their child.

Why is that? Is not an open state at the moment of certain problems or questions true maturity and real development of a person, when a person is in a state of true purity of everything that is happening?

The key point: the presence of fear in one’s own system is an inadequate perception of all spaces. In fact, it is an inadequate ability to perceive everything that is happening. If one perceives everything that is happening, then fear may be present in some zone — it is always present in you.

Every person has trigger zones: they always work, there are just zones that you do not feel. Moreover, a person can be psychophysically brought to a state where they stop feeling pain or fear.

Here is a simple example. In childhood, I fell, and I had a contracture of the arm: several times there was a dislocation of the elbow, and therefore the arm has been tense all my life. If someone had asked me at 25 or 30 whether I feel pain in my arm, I would have said that I do not particularly feel it. I can feel pain in my right arm as in my left. Once I was at a meeting with a person who could see spiritual worlds. At that time, I did not understand this, I cannot even say that I believed in it. But the meeting took place — we came on the recommendation of my friend, who brought many people into my life. At that meeting, the person approached and said: “You have some strange arm.” And touched my arm. I experienced pain as if he had stuck a knife into my elbow. At that moment he said: “So you have this pain all the time, you just do not perceive it. Your brain simply turned off.” Because if something hurts, you need to disconnect. The neuromuscular system is structured this way: something hurts, then it stopped — something else hurt, it compensated. The brain says: “I don’t want to experience this pain anymore” — and blocks it.

💡

There are a huge number of techniques and methods in psychotherapy where people are put into different states in which they unblock some part of their consciousness and recall a certain problem. Many things are built on this approach. It is important to understand that there is constantly a huge amount of fear, you just do not hear it. Many things you have long blocked, do not want to hear and perceive: you do not know what to do with them. Because if you let in this entire stream of truth, you can die in it, a person will experience very strong pain.

I have a channel with meditations. In mid-February there was meditation No. 39, during which I showed a certain world that is beyond the state of freedom. I voiced the following phrase: “A person, approaching this state, must experience an incredible amount of transformational pain” — that is, what is happening in the spiritual world brings strong pain. No personality wants to experience this, moreover, even a spiritual being does not want this.

There are people who separate the spiritual world from the physical. They say that there is a spiritual world, and everyone in it are “dandelions,” “berries,” so good; moreover, they believe that in the spiritual world a spiritual being is some higher authority of everything that happens. But this is not so. There is hierarchy, development of the spiritual system, development of the spiritual being. If your spiritual being were a higher spiritual authority — not even the highest, but of the next levels, comparable to an angel — it would not be in your construction.

It would not be a human in the current aspect. It would immediately realize silence, it would not be in the stage of reasoning, in the stage of analysis. Yes, it would not come to a certain phase that a human will reach in thousands of years. And it will not reach a specific phase, but it is in another phase of development of the spiritual world, the freedom of this system relative to the spiritual world. If we speak about freedom, then these beings have it of another kind. There is no freedom of action, but the freedom of the spiritual being — yes.

Therefore, in the spiritual world the human system has a pronounced hierarchy. Even if we consider a human broken down into components, this hierarchy remains extremely complex. There are stuck people who do not move to the next incarnation and remain in lower systems. They do not move to the next level of development. Moreover, there are a large number of spiritual beings that prevent a person from transitioning to new levels of development and strive to keep them in a state of complete immersion in the darkness of consciousness. They fight to keep a person stuck in this.

The human spiritual system is not a “dandelion.” A huge number of processes of a specific nature take place in it, which constantly affect a person’s life and activity, although they do not experience them. If you experience them — you will fall to your knees and pray endlessly, you will burn from everything that is happening.

Imagine that a person instantly lives through their entire karmic experience. Such an idea is sometimes found in films. In this case, the human system would not be able to perceive it — it would burn out. People often talk about the possibilities of memory and the brain. However, a person is not able to reproduce in detail even one day of their life — 24 hours, or at least 16–18 hours. They cannot remember what is happening in detail. At the same time, the idea of “unused brain potential” is widespread, but its realization is not determined by a person’s desire. When the corresponding stage comes in spiritual development, then additional abilities are revealed. This is how it works, not by a person’s desire or the invention of any techniques.

The same applies to questions such as the impossibility of flying to Mars or Saturn — this is not determined only by human desire or the current level of technology. People consider themselves geniuses at the present moment, perceiving past generations as less developed: “They did not invent linguistic models or launch satellites. What were they? What could they do? Kill a bear or catch a fish.” This is how people perceive the past, they do not truly perceive the process.

Imagine: you have this field of fear that is in your soul system. These are energies of underdevelopment of the system. Do they help a person move in life? This is simply a natural process of movement. But this is not about the fact that they are the causes of благостные (favorable, harmonious) events in your life. These are the causes of your life — that is guaranteed, because this is part of life. But they are not the causes of favorable events.

💡

Drawing conclusions that a specific fear helped me survive is absolute ignorance. You simply could not die at that moment. There are many people who had no fear and did not encounter the problem at all. We know a huge number of people who were born rich and died rich without experiencing fear. And at the same time, a huge number of people experienced fear all their lives and died.

Survey the entire population of the Earth. Ask how people truly feel, how they truly live, how fear helps them live. Does fear really help to live, or is it just a fact of their life? Did my grandmother’s fear of war help her live, or is it a fact of life? Did the fear of the death of loved ones help her live? I repeat, it seems my grandmother worried more about war than about the fear of other people’s lives under the same conditions. This is a very important construct — fear expressed outwardly. People transmit this fear to others, as my grandmother did.

Just like a huge number of other people transmit fears. For example, a child is running, people are standing around, and someone says: “Now he will fall,” — and begins to transmit fear. Why? Until this fear was transmitted, it did not exist. What happens at this moment? So he was not supposed to fall. Maybe he fell because of the transmitted fear, this state is passed on to him. Those who transmit fear bear responsibility for this.

My wife’s mother once said: “When I am afraid of something, it immediately happens.” Then the question of responsibility arises: if you constantly experience fear, especially regarding children, you sow it around. Does this fear really help to avoid certain situations?

You can see small children who at two years old are already in their parents’ arms wearing a helmet. Once people came to visit me with a child wearing a helmet… This is a misunderstanding of cause-and-effect relationships. If a child is destined to be injured, they may hit, for example, their eye on a corner, not their head. A helmet does not protect the eyes. You cannot put a helmet on the eyes. A helmet covers only a certain part of the body. This is not about protective equipment being unnecessary. For example, when riding a bicycle, a helmet is a different construction and a different cause-and-effect relationship. It is important not to confuse these things and to truly understand where and what risks exist.

You can hear how famous people, billionaires, say that they achieved a lot in life thanks to fear.

Example. Howard Schultz — former CEO of Starbucks. He talks about his childhood in a poor area of Brooklyn and the story of his father. When Howard was seven, his father was injured at work, after which he was fired without warning, and the family was left without income. Here a question arises: how many people did Starbucks itself fire without income? How many people were laid off without compensation and medical insurance? Then a belief is formed: “I must pull my family out and never again be helpless.” This becomes motivation for action. So did you yourself fire people or not in your company and leave them without medical insurance or salary? What kind of story is this?

If we consider a person who moves out of fear, then this fear constantly controls them. They are always in this state. If a person says that fear helped them, it means fear was constantly with them. But we know: when a person experiences fear and realizes it, they feel bad. This is obvious. If a person consciously chooses to live out of fear, they thereby choose to live in such a state: “I will live badly because it will lead me to a certain state.” To what? To a good one? But you constantly feel bad.

💡

Here it is important to pay attention to the main thing — to understand this energy. The task is not to reason at the level of mind, society, or logic whether fear is good or bad. The task is to understand the very fact of the energy: if there are tears, this is a manifestation that the system cannot withstand. There is not enough inner strength. And if the system lacks strength, you stop perceiving much else. A person stops acting truly. Their actions begin to be determined by instincts and programs that control them. The person continues to act not genuinely. With fear, exactly the same process occurs.

Analysis of the question

If a person realized that it is the fear of aging that motivates them to exercise, monitor nutrition, and take care of themselves? At the same time, the result is good: the person looks better, feels good, and maintains health.

Should something be done with this fear? Is it worth replacing it with something?

First of all, it is important to separate:

  • One thing is the desire to look beautiful or be healthy.
  • Another thing is the fear of aging.
  • And the third is the specific actions you take.

These are different things.

Look at the causes. What causes are behind the actions? Why does a person exercise? Why does the fear of aging arise? Why is this reasoning launched? After all, all people without exception age. All people die. Then why does fear arise and why does a person connect it with their actions? It is important to understand whether this is truly the cause.

There are a huge number of people who are afraid of dying but do nothing. There are those who are afraid of dying, want to be beautiful, but do nothing. There are people who want to have a beautiful figure but eat ten cakes every day. There are people who want to be beautiful but do not have fear of being “unattractive” — in their terminology.

Each situation must be considered separately, and not form a universal belief. Because when a person forms a belief, for example: “I want to earn a lot, therefore I work a lot,” — the question arises whether this is truly the cause and whether fear really motivates a person to these actions.

Then the next question arises: what to do with fear if it is present?

A person may have fear that loved ones will die. Fear that they will remain poor for life. Fear of losing already earned money. Fear of being killed. Fear of going to prison. Fear of punishment.

It is important to understand the following: we live in a world where these energies are constantly transmitted. Moreover, a significant amount of these energies is present within a person. A huge amount is transmitted through society, culture, the environment in which a person lives: through the country, space, family, work, surroundings.

A large number of fears are transmitted. Therefore, it is important to see where a specific fear came from. This is always very important.

For example, you are sitting, and suddenly you have a state of anxiety. Why did it appear? Because you need to pay attention to it, and there will be a problem there? Or did the anxiety appear because this state is present in the space itself?

If we find ourselves in a psychiatric hospital, sit in a room and stay there — with high probability you will experience anxiety and various specific states. To prevent this, it is necessary to be in a high degree of awareness of what is happening, of all energies, and at that moment to be able to manage them, to truly understand in detail what is happening.

Viruses spread in the world, let us recall COVID. There were people who were afraid, and there were those who did not care. If we look more broadly, there were countries where many people got sick, and countries where few did. There seems to be no clear pattern of cause and effect. Why are there many sick in one country and few in another? Why in some places people are afraid and in others not? Why in some countries certain measures are taken and they give a positive effect, while in others the same measures lead to deterioration? There are people who are afraid and get sick. There are those who are not afraid and get sick. There are those who are afraid and do not get sick. And those who are not afraid and do not get sick. Everything happens differently.

The question arises: where does this fear come from? And separately — why does a person get sick or not get sick? These are different things.

Sometimes the causes may be connected: a person falls under a certain influence, experiences fear, enters this state and eventually gets sick. Such systems exist, but not all are like this. Therefore, each fear must be approached individually.

I often give an example: there is fear that does not need to be fought. There is a huge number of fears in a person’s life that they do not even notice. The question is: how to make it so that even when fear arises, you remain stronger than it, so that you control your life?

For example, someone speaks on television about war. What happens to you at that moment? Or you live calmly and suddenly learn that in the neighboring stairwell there is a drug den where people are killed. And fear appears that did not exist before. How to continue not being afraid?

  1. You can not be afraid due to ignorance.
  2. You can suppress perception.

But the energy of such spaces is still felt. It is visible.

The question is how you perceive it: with your eyes, when you opened the door? Or do you see this energy through the door? In any case, a person will live with very specific energies: the energy of death has always been present, is present, and will be present with you.

As Rudolf Steiner described in 1924 at a meeting of Christian priests, a person of the current generation — over the next hundreds of years — will have to learn to live with the energy of death nearby and recognize that death is their friend. They will increasingly feel and perceive it nearby, relate to it calmly, speak about it calmly, observe what is happening to themselves and to other people, hear and feel it.

It is incredible to know this. People continue to take thousands of tests, take medications. But why do they do it? To make sure everything is fine and try to improve it. But not to feel more deeply how they are dying or to draw real conclusions where tests matter. But there are also those that have no meaning at all. A test shows something — and then what? What exactly does it give?

In childhood, I often had back pain — muscular system, nervous system, bones. I quite often did MRI scans. They told me: “You have a hernia.” And I remember how in my early twenties my friend, a neurologist who studied at a medical university, said: “Stop doing these tests. Do not do MRI anymore, only in emergency cases.” I asked: “Why?” He replied: “This knowledge gives you nothing. You do nothing with it and will not do anything. Are you going to have surgery? No. Then why do you need it?”

This was one of the best pieces of advice in my life. Because with these actions I provoked fear, intensified experiences and launched meaningless processes instead of doing truly necessary things. When I stopped focusing on this and started doing what was needed, my condition became much better. The difference between what was twenty years ago and what is now is colossal. Back then I could not calmly walk thirty kilometers, now it is incomparable.

What is the logic? You want to find a mental solution. But there is no mental solution in working with fear. One must go into the spiritual world. You can reason as much as you want, convince yourself, try to get rid of it — it will not work.

Imagine that you rented an apartment surrounded by snakes. You can tell yourself as much as you want that there are no snakes, but they will not disappear. You can do any practices, sit in the lotus position, meditate, fast — the snakes will still be outside. Unless you are a magician or wizard and can dissolve them. But if you are trying to solve this mentally, nothing will change. It is simply very important to perceive and understand this. And then at some point the fear disappears, and you say: “I no longer have fear.” You go outside — there are no snakes anymore. Therefore, your fear disappeared. The very fact of the presence of snakes caused fear. When they disappeared — fear disappeared as well.

This is an interesting and important aspect. But then a person concludes: “Probably this happened because I stopped eating ‘Napoleon’ cake or started eating beetroot.” That is, a person started eating beetroot and draws conclusions from this. At the same time, if we look at the situation more broadly, we can say that this is just an abstract statement. What is the connection with beetroot? What is the connection with “Napoleon”? But people make exactly such conclusions. The snakes simply left, beetroot has nothing to do with it. In this case, you have no relation to the space.

There are many similar examples in the world. For example, tribes that believe that space aliens drop packages to them, not ordinary airplanes. They decided to perceive what is happening this way. This is a good example of how a person forms conclusions. They think in exactly the same way, sometimes even worse. These tribes at least can believe in something.

But this is still an old system of development and a different type of soul, and now we are in a different type of soul. Therefore, of course, this is still an incorrect and exaggerated comparison.
