Tatyana Tsvetkova
How can you live consciously when you do not even have time for yourself? Someone says, “I want depth. I want to hear myself, feel life, and stop living on autopilot. But I have children, parents, work, loans.” Is there a way to live consciously right in the middle of all that busyness? You know that feeling: every so often, I collect myself and try to understand what I am feeling. I enter a state of awareness. Then the rush begins: twenty projects, three children, and so on. By the time I come to my senses—oh, it is already Friday, like today. It feels as though Monday only just began, and in all that time I have neither been aware of myself nor even asked where I am or what is happening to me. I do this myself. Do you have some way of dealing with it?
Alexander Volchek
The thing is, whether someone feels good or bad is completely independent of whether they are busy, how many children or businesses they have, or how much creativity, how many projects and tasks there are in their life. What does “independent” mean? If you see children as a social responsibility, and business as an obligation and a trap—work, money, endless work—then you are a slave to everything that happens. But if you see everything around you as part of your life, something you have a hand in directing—not that you control the karmic flow of reality or the movement of life, but that you are aware of it—then no amount of work can take away your sense of joy, freedom, creativity, or self-awareness. None. I often tell people that I consider myself a free person with an enormous amount of time. I cannot say that I do a great deal, but if I actually start listing everything I do, there is not a single person who would want to hear it all. People do not want to hear it; they do not even want to come into contact with it.
Because I do not experience myself as busy. For example, I told you that over the past two weeks I have been working twelve to fourteen hours a day. I want to work, so I work twelve or fourteen hours.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
So that is not a loss of awareness?
Alexander Volchek
It is not a loss of awareness at all. I simply want to work twelve or fifteen hours.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
That is exactly how I feel.
Alexander Volchek
And if I do not want to work, I do not work twelve to fifteen hours. Why would I? Look, I have that option, that choice. But what if I did not? There are plenty of things where I have no choice. For example, I cannot stop working. My wife can live without working; that has been my favorite example to give people in recent years. But I cannot stop working. You could stop working—I mean in terms of your social circumstances.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
In terms of my social circumstances.
Alexander Volchek
But inside—
Tatyana Tsvetkova
I would go crazy.
Alexander Volchek
Look, that is the thing. But inside, you can. Imagine: she is free of this. Polina is free of it.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
Yes.
Alexander Volchek
And you say, “Surely, if things are normal, that will eventually make her want to work.” Not necessarily at all. You are trying to install your own little program there, saying, “I depend on this.” But she does not. She does not have that dependence.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
Yes, I cannot even understand it.
Alexander Volchek
There are other characteristics, other areas there. I cannot allow myself to stop working. Someone might say that I have a social responsibility, but I would like to be free of that social responsibility, because in modern society my children will not die. My children will not die. I would like to be able to give everything up with a snap of my fingers. I can give up a lot. I can erase my channels, leave many businesses, give up the money in my account and various projects. I can give up flowers, the piano, the dog, all sorts of pleasures in life: coffee, tea, fish or meat, eggs, or this view. There is a lot I can give up, but I cannot give up earning money in the social world. I do not currently have that inner freedom in relation to this action. Remembering that, I know this problem exists. I keep trying to catch myself: am I making a mistake here? Given the structure of my perception, this is a point where I can be caught. As I have always said, I can be bought with money.
There is this social structure: I can be bought with money. But whether you could buy my wife with money is a big question. Suppose someone offered her thirty thousand dollars tomorrow to work for three months, a week at a time. Let us use a different amount: a hundred thousand dollars, to work one week a month—no, two weeks a month, twelve hours a day. That is decent money. It would be sixty thousand dollars for a full working month. She would very likely turn it down. She would turn it down. But if I made you an offer—it depends on the amount, of course—you would sleep less.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
Yes, I can go without sleep altogether.
Alexander Volchek
See, you would sleep less. I often use you as an example and tell people that Tanya is extraordinary. An amazingly hard worker, with a truly exceptional capacity for work. You have never once turned me down about filming, the details, any of it. Not once. You do things, take on projects. Helping is completely natural to you; this is your natural life. But this matters: you do it because it is there for you, not because you are dependent on it. Your spiritual being cannot be made dependent. Maybe I could still create certain conditions somewhere—even that is a big question—but I would not do it. I know your spiritual system. You are not a system that can be made dependent; you would immediately bite back. You do these things naturally: “Of course I will work on this. Of course I will do it.” So many of the projects happening in your life are your life. And when you get upset, lose awareness, and start scolding people around you or yourself, that is your ego wanting bliss at that moment. It is your ego that wants bliss, not your actual spiritual being.
It is very clear in you. Whenever someone asks you to do something, you say, “Yes.” That is your spiritual system. You feel life, which is why you have so many projects, and many people cannot understand you: how can you want so much life at once? But it is the desire to want and to witness life at the same time. And it is not connected to—
Tatyana Tsvetkova
For me, it is life.
Alexander Volchek
Life.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
It is not that I want something. For me, it is life.
Alexander Volchek
Simply life. And look, that does not mean you could not be taken away to a closed retreat for four weeks. You absolutely could; I know that for certain. Remember when we went horseback riding in the mountains, on that completely unpredictable trip? It was not a normal kind of trip for you, was it?
Tatyana Tsvetkova
Not at all.
Alexander Volchek
Outwardly.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
The most abnormal trip imaginable.
Alexander Volchek
Look at the outward circumstances. We crossed Kara-Tyurek on horseback, the highest pass in that region, right?
In the Altai.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
And there was snow.
Alexander Volchek
It was not just snow. It was—
Tatyana Tsvetkova
In August.
Alexander Volchek
Absolute hell up there, yes.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
It really was.
Alexander Volchek
Until we came down at Belukha, right? Even the way we lived there, what was happening, would have been a lot for many people. But, Tanya, I cannot recall you having those inner outbursts. Perhaps you had some; perhaps you lost your balance here and there. But I do not even remember that happening. It seems to me you were quite a happy, contented person.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
Well, it took me a couple of days to resign myself to my fate, because I was completely unprepared.
Alexander Volchek
You had not understood what you were signing up for.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
Then I started enjoying it.
Alexander Volchek
Mostly, you looked as though you were enjoying yourself. Even when you showed selfish aspects, they were part of life; in fact, I do not remember any. Believe me, I have traveled with many groups—you know me. I have made an incredible number of trips: mountains, forests, deserts, rivers, lakes, seas, all kinds of places. I know how people react and what states they go through. You seemed completely out of place and unprepared. I remember meeting at the airport and opening your suitcase: “Let me check that suitcase.” Lena said, “Check her suitcase.” And inside—
Tatyana Tsvetkova
I had bought everything two hours before the flight.
Alexander Volchek
The point is your inner state. You experienced that whole trip as life, all the way to the end, and still do now. You have certain memories you mention about it, but even those come more from your personality, the ego of your personality, than from your reality. You could just as easily be put through an even worse trip and remain perfectly calm. What I wanted to say is that the number of things you do can be limited. Some people might think the vividness of life depends on how many things you do. But it does not. It depends on how you perceive life at a particular moment. I know plenty of people who say they are busy. Recently, Polina and I were driving, and she said, “I am very busy. I drive the children to school.” I told her, “Look, I am not finding fault with how busy you are, but when we—
Not finding fault with your busyness. But when people tell me they are busy driving their children to school, my social being, Alexander Volchek, says that is complete nonsense, because for me that action is nothing. It is an action. Can you build entire worlds around it? Yes. But I can build an entire world on my balcony, around this video, or around this channel. I can inflate all sorts of spaces out of it, display them, make myself important on the basis of one YouTube channel or two, and talk about how busy I am. The point is that when people use these phrases, they are having a hard time inside, in their own understanding of life. Does life bring responsibility? I have a zillion responsibilities, a cosmic trainload of responsibility. But I treat it as life. And I give myself the right to walk away if I want to. Some people think I have no right to give up raising my children. But that is an illusion, because what do you mean by raising them?
Sending them to a particular school, or constantly watching how you perceive your child? Do you actually pay attention to how you perceive your child twenty-four seven? Are you conscious with them? Come on! What time are you giving them? What are you giving this person? How do you live alongside them? And there you are: you are already lost. You have already failed to take responsibility. Then I have the right to walk away. Perhaps. Perhaps it follows that I have that right. For example, I can tell you that I am very calm about giving up child-rearing in the social sense. But there are laws I follow. I always follow the laws. I always say there are laws of the Universe and laws of countries. If a country has a law requiring me to do something, I always do it. I have no questions about that. I am speaking from the perspective of my spiritual and soulful being; I am very calm about this. What can I not give up? I cannot give up contact with them right now; I am still too strongly connected to them. I feel that attachment. But I allow for the possibility that I could wake up tomorrow morning and this feeling would transform into an even greater feeling of love.
Where there is love, there is no attachment. If you cannot give up spending time with your child, or accept that tomorrow you might never see them again, that is not love. It is important to understand: it is one aspect of love. Is there always an aspect of love there? Of course there is. But it is not the omnipresent love you are part of. Tanya, that is the truth. Guaranteed—a guaranteed truth. If you cannot do this, that does not mean you should give anything up. Nobody said that. The question is whether you allow for the possibility and can look at that circumstance very calmly. That is all. But that is guaranteed. For example, you love your children with a fierce animal attachment. A fierce animal attachment; it shines right through them. Not every parent has this—not every mother or father. There are different characteristics. I am not saying it is good or bad. You have that fierce animal attachment. When it is present, whenever you are making a decision about them, you must immediately recognize that your judgment is impaired.
What does that mean? It means you are easy to manipulate and take advantage of when it comes to your children. Anyone can do it, including the children themselves and your own personality. You need to recognize that. You have this fierce animal attachment because of the particular structure of your energy, its cosmic nature, certain states whose causes you do not understand. If you used those energies and transformed that animal bond into the energy of support, it would be an entirely different whirlwind of life. You would give them endless help. There is a problem with animal attachment: you can hit them very hard on the backside and hug them very hard. It is a constant state, which is precisely why it will keep arising in you. Every so often you will come home thinking, “To hell with everyone!” It is not that you do not love them at that moment, but that you would like to shut yourself away from them. This difficulty comes from that situation, and you need to look at it from the outside and work through it. Even when it happens, its cause is the particular structure of energy that you, specifically, have.
Some mothers cannot spend time with their children. Whatever happens, a child is something very strange to them. Yes, simply very strange. For example, I go out into the garden to clean up after my dog. To me, picking up poop is exactly the same kind of action as drinking water or eating a banana. It makes no difference to me. It is just like going out to trim the flowers. You know what is most interesting? It makes no difference to me whether I am picking up poop or trimming flowers. “Me neither.” For me, it is natural and normal. I cannot even say I do it because I have to. If I do not want to, I will hire people to pick it up. “Yes.” Or I will make an area where my dog can go to the bathroom. Because the temperature here can get very high, the poop will transform quickly and turn to dust. That is how nature works here. Besides, I have twenty thousand square meters of land, with deer and all kinds of animals running around. I do not pick up after them, do I?
So it is part of nature. “It will not make the soil worse.” Yes. I am talking about the garden. I am not talking about walking through a city, my dog going to the bathroom, and me leaving it there. “Yes, your garden.” That is different. That is different. I am speaking specifically about my garden. I feel very calm about it. But for some people, this would be an incredible difficulty, some paradox of life. They would think, “Why should I have to do this at all?” They would keep having doubts and strange inner states about it. The thing is, when people do all those things you mentioned at the beginning, they are not living in harmony with them. I know plenty of mothers and fathers who try to make society see how hard they work, who want society to confirm it from the outside, because they cannot find that balance within themselves. You can even see it in how people communicate this. You know that yourself.
You watch all these bloggers talking about something, and you think, “What have you actually done?” If you switch on the social Tsvetkova or the social Volchek, I say, “You have done nothing.” But the person is in their own state, and it is hard for them. It is simply hard. It is hard for them to be with themselves, to allow different aspects of being and find harmony with themselves. And that harmony can only be found through work. You have to work. You are lucky, for example: you want absolutely everything that exists and does not exist. Everything. Though that is not luck, by the way. Everything—you want everything. At the same time, you naturally work at an enormous number of things. You are lucky that you know how to work naturally; otherwise life would have ground you into the pavement. “Yes, absolutely.” You compensate through your own work, because that is the most important thing in a person's life: to work, to do basic things. Wipe a child's bottom, pour a glass of water, write five emails, visit sixteen projects, prune trees, or even do a single job: work as a courier, making deliveries, making deliveries, making deliveries.
Or making coffee, you know. I always think, “My God, that is a whole day. Do you know how much work that is? Hell. Hellish work. I could not do it. And smiling at everyone on top of it.” There are people like that. Incredible. Yes. Sometimes I walk into a place—it is common in California. California, America in general, has allowed people to be anything they want and enjoy whatever they want. That is an important subject, by the way. Of course, it is society that has allowed it. Nobody told you, “If you are a sales manager, you are stupid,” or, “If you work in a factory, that means this.” Society here says you should enjoy yourself and can enjoy whatever you want. Yes, be whatever you want. So someone is standing in a coffee shop in their underwear, enjoying themselves. Sometimes you come in and talk to them. Or at a market: I was buying lettuce recently, and there was an older man selling nothing but lettuce. He said, “Which language would you like to speak?” He was very eccentric and looked incredible. That is probably why I bought all sorts of lettuce from him. Bought everything he had! Yes, I even took two extra bags of some very expensive lettuce.
The total took me by surprise. If there had been a price on it, I do not think I would have bought it. You know how they like to leave the prices off at markets here. There he is, enjoying himself, talking to you. There is a line of about twenty people, and everyone waits while he talks to each of them. I stood there waiting too while he talked to every person. Everyone stands and waits calmly, because a person has the right to talk here. He wants to talk; he does not have to. He likes it. And he gets this incredible pleasure from it. He is living, but he is also working. He is working. Who said he was toiling away? That does not mean he enjoys every part of the work. Do you like every action you take? You rushed in before filming and said, “Sasha, I need to send an email. My computer battery is dead,” and something else. I doubt you enjoyed all of that: getting here, the hot weather, whatever else. Polina and I also noticed that your car had not been washed.
Polina and I noticed that your car had not been washed. And something else. You think, “How do I deal with all this? Someone called; I have to reply politely to someone else,” and so on. I doubt you enjoy it. It is work. You try to express something through that work, but it is work: “I am working.” Again, you have all these desires that may look very strange from the outside, and do provoke very strange reactions. But you also do an enormous amount of work, and you have these desires. Those desires have a different cause. They are not connected to the work you do; they have other causes. It is like the example I gave you about children. Recognizing this animal aspect of yourself would allow you to become aware of it and transform it. It would let you reach another level in how you perceive your children. Because of that animal aspect, and because the children are yours, you are not going to eat them alive in the end.
But you can eat other people alive.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
Yes, I can.
Alexander Volchek
That is all.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
They had better not touch my children.
Alexander Volchek
Of course. But look, I do not mean only because of your children: you could eat someone alive in general, for no particular reason. They are another person, so why not? With your children, there is a certain brake. There is a stop there. You need to balance out that “They had better not touch my children” attitude and recognize that they are people like anyone else. Redirect all that energy—all of it—into love for people. As soon as you redirect it, the spaces will come into harmony, and those enormous goals of yours will come into harmony. Do you understand? Into harmony. Other people who cannot find balance need to begin. Begin living in truth, want to live in that truth, want to open up, tell the truth, show these things, open up. But it is not easy. We live in a society that stifles and presses down on people very hard. We live in a society that—
Tatyana Tsvetkova
That takes strength too, you know: to open up, stand your ground, and withstand the reaction.
Alexander Volchek
And all around you are people who do not want to perceive who you are. Everyone around you, absolutely everyone. People do not want to perceive you: children, wives, husbands, mothers, fathers, relatives, acquaintances, the social world. But there are people who do want to perceive you, and it turns out you do not notice them. As I have said, people often write to me about my videos, and I look at them and think, “Who are these people? How did they even find me?” Realizing this is something to see. When I visit many of my acquaintances and they try to assess my audience, I realize they do not know my audience because they do not know me. You know that feeling? They do not even know the audience, because they do not know who you really are as a person. You post a lot of interiors, for example. Every so often, in some group of people, I hear someone refer to you. I realize they are talking about you, but from their own understanding of you.
If you looked at it, you would say, “That is not actually what I meant.” Or, “That is not my style,” for example. And—
Tatyana Tsvetkova
People often send me things saying, “Oh, I saw this and it is so your style.” I say, “Yes,” while thinking, “That is not my style at all. Why did they decide that?”
Alexander Volchek
Why did they decide that? Why did they think that was what you meant? Just because there was a particular color?
Listen, something interesting happened recently, and I want to tell this story in this video too, since there is plenty of lifestyle content here anyway. A friend of mine came to visit: Vitalik, you know him. We went to Orange County, were walking around the stores, and went to buy a suitcase. As we walked, I was telling him about a reel you posted—a woman talking about bathtubs: if your bathtub stands in the middle of the room, you are rich.
If the bathtub is enclosed by three walls, you are poor. Two walls, and you are a little better off. One wall, and you are generally wealthy. But no walls, and you live in luxury. I was telling him about this. He listened—he is a very developed person in terms of his whole structure—and at first said, “No, I do not need a bathtub in the middle of the room.” We kept walking. He is a free man in his life at the moment, generally speaking. About five minutes later, he said, “I need a bathtub in the middle. My next bathtub will have no walls around it.” We talked it over, and then he said, “Tanya is an extraordinary person. Tanya is really extraordinary.” I think we kept talking about you for the entire two weeks.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
And I was wondering why my ears were burning.
Alexander Volchek
Yes, our whole group talked about you for two weeks, including my third friend. We kept bringing you up. Then we were all in the car. I had been ordering suitcases for myself, and one of the ones I wanted was from Rimowa. I opened the Rimowa page—
Tatyana Tsvetkova
That is my—
Alexander Volchek
I bought it. I did.
But I did not buy only Rimowa. I will not say any more about that in the video.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
I want one like that too.
Alexander Volchek
Yes. For my carry-on, I wanted something a little more—
Tatyana Tsvetkova
I wanted at least that.
Alexander Volchek
Yes, for my carry-on, I wanted something a little more—
Tatyana Tsvetkova
That is it. I am jealous.
Alexander Volchek
A little more high-end. Yes, I bought something a little more high-end for my carry-on. As we were driving, I said to him about Rimowa, “Listen, I have always wanted that cube-shaped suitcase. Why do I not buy one?”
I met a friend in Cairo who had a Rimowa. I am quite comfortable buying nice things, but with suitcases I always thought, “Why spend money on a suitcase?” Then I met this friend in Cairo, and it opened my eyes. I stood there looking at it and thinking, “I am making a mistake here.”
Tatyana Tsvetkova
Of course.
Alexander Volchek
So we were driving, and I said, “I want to buy that cube-shaped Rimowa.” He turned to me and said, “Exactly, a cube. It is like a bathtub in the middle of the room.” There is Rimowa, and then there is that particular Rimowa.
I do not know if “cube” is the right word. It is not quite a cube; is it right to say it is more—
Tatyana Tsvetkova
Square.
Alexander Volchek
More square at the top, in its shape?
And Vitalik fully felt what a bathtub in the middle of the room means. He experienced it completely.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
There are no walls at all at that point, you understand?
Alexander Volchek
He understood what a bathtub in the middle of the room means.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
Yes, and do you know why? The feeling you get from that bathtub in the middle of the room and from that suitcase is the same. Your sense of what luxury is.
Alexander Volchek
We did a lot of driving together—I do not know how many thousands of miles—and on that occasion it was the two of us in the car. We were driving somewhere near Malibu. In that same car, I played him your video about how people kill and destroy themselves by living in unattractive surroundings, about how it has even been proven that our surroundings affect us. You had a whole series—
Tatyana Tsvetkova
Yes, lots of articles.
Alexander Volchek
A whole series of videos. I played one straight from the feed for you, about how important our surroundings are. They matter, even if you do not want to understand that, even if you have told yourself they do not matter.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
Even if you have blocked it out.
Alexander Volchek
Now imagine what happens when a person does not perceive their own life. The suitcase and the bathtub are a tiny flash in a person's life, a little puff. How do you build a relationship with your child that becomes like that bathtub in the middle of the room? How do you build a relationship with another person? How? A man and a woman can create love for each other. If you showed your husband boundless love and your husband showed you boundless love—which is probably impossible for you, something you probably could not create right now; in fact, right now you definitely cannot, because of your spiritual beings, karma, and all the circumstances—but if you did, you would need nothing else. Nothing at all. Nothing at all. No bathtub, no suitcase, no emotional experiences, no projects. You would need absolutely nothing. It is even hard to think about. You want to swallow because a lump forms in your throat. You think, “How could I feel that? How could I feel it? How could I create that kind of relationship?” Imagine me looking at Polina and her looking at me, and—
Tatyana Tsvetkova
The world disappearing.
Alexander Volchek
And the world around us would disappear. Can you imagine? Every time you see each other, it disappears, and you move in the energy of happiness and love. That is the supremacy of that energy. There is a higher energy.
Tatyana Tsvetkova
Perhaps some people have access to that.
Alexander Volchek
I tell everyone that these are not the highest energies, because from the perspective of spiritual development, there is still a kind of attachment and impairment there. This is a human being's task: the energy of the sun lives within them, the solar energy of Christ, the energy of light. It has settled in their soul, and its beginnings are in their I, their astral system, their etheric world, and their other bodies. It is in planet Earth's etheric body, its physical body, and its astral body. That energy lives, but it needs to be developed further and put into action. And within that energy, of course, you do not need anyone. No one at all. That need does not exist there. It does not mean you should be alone. It means that to experience it, you do not need another partner. But when there is another partner—and in fact it is not only about a man and a woman, a husband and wife, but—
Not only a man and a woman, a husband and wife. In fact, it is everyone, all people. If people look at another person even briefly from the spiritual world, everything disappears. Everything disappears. Everything. That is all: harmony. You look at another person, and there is harmony. I lead a fairly large spiritual development group. All I have to say is, “Let us all look at one another from the perspective of the spiritual world,” and there is complete calm. You cannot fail to feel calm.
Unidentified participant
Yes.
Alexander Volchek
You cannot fail to feel calm. You cannot. You only need to look a little higher. As soon as you do… So if someone is telling themselves, “I am terribly busy. I have so much to do, and I cannot get out from under it. What should I do? Where should I be? I am running myself ragged. I cannot blink, cannot take care of myself, cannot find a place for myself,” at that moment they should look at their spiritual system as a whole and try to see it. You seem to think this should be accessible. I do not think it has to be accessible. You only need to consider that it exists. That is the beginning of being able to always find a point of support in absolutely anything, from the hardest tasks to the easiest. Of course, Tanya, it takes enormous work. Remaining calm and accepting any state takes work. If a missile lands in front of you, or someone close to you dies, you need incredible energy to be calm and help people at that moment, rather than crying the way everyone cries at funerals: to respond from love for the very movement of the world.
Why are you crying? Because the world is wrong. Wrong in what way? People die—that is the nature of the world.
Unidentified participant
Yes. They are born; they die.
Alexander Volchek
That is the nature of the world. Besides, everything has causes and effects, however bad or good they may seem to us. Everything has its essence. “Bad” and “good” are socialized concepts. Are there higher truths of bad and good? There are higher truths of light and darkness, black and white, good and bad, good and evil. And there is a higher space where even that division does not exist. But that is an extremely high level of the truth of black and white. Before that level, black and white, bad and good, are very easy to distinguish. But people dying is natural. Period. It is natural. You do not get to choose the balance of life as it unfolds. If you want to choose that balance, start by watching how your blood flows through your body. Observe that; try controlling it. What is it you want to control—death, events, the planet's interconnections? Look at the cars on the street. Millions of cars are moving without crashing into one another. That is a socially created, controlled structure. Can you imagine what happens from the perspective of the spiritual world? What kind of interconnections exist there?
No brain, no artificial intelligence—no one at all—can have command over that. I mean artificial intelligence as human beings understand it. What is meant by artificial intelligence, or the word “metaverse,” in the spiritual world is something else. We see distorted projections, and projections of dark worlds at that. Of dark worlds.
Unidentified participant
Mm-hmm.
Alexander Volchek
Unfortunately.
