On ToTheMoon, Adobe rarely gets a story of its own. It comes up as a test case for what happens to established professional software once generative models are widely available, in talks about video generation, agents, and ChatGPT integrations. The hosts keep asking whether Adobe keeps direct contact with its users or ends up as a set of functions inside someone else's interface.

The early assessment was favourable. In episode 004, the hosts pointed to Adobe as an example of generation being folded into ordinary editing, replacing a background or extending a shot inside Premiere, and argued that such integrations turn a technology into a market. By 2025 the tone had grown more cautious. Episode 054 noted that Adobe, alongside Amazon, had moved into agents and released an infrastructure for them. In episode 073, news of Acrobat Studio prompted doubt about whether it was a headline or a genuine bet, though one host granted that “Adobe is very good at introducing some of his standards, even if they're not really cool” (episode 073).

By late 2025 the discussion had shifted to Adobe's integration into ChatGPT. Episode 088 read it as a sign of models absorbing the interfaces of legacy software, adding that once the tools are wrapped in open protocols, any model could offer the same functions. Episode extra12 put it more sharply: the integration gives Adobe an audience but risks turning its interface into an invisible backend. In 2026, an Adobe plugin in ChatGPT went unused (episode 107), and an assistant that kept trying to open Photoshop hit a demand to sign in (episode 136).
