On ToTheMoon, Apple Intelligence is a story about the gap between an announcement and a working product. The hosts have followed it from the first betas on their own devices, and the question they keep asking is why a company that controls the phone, the watch, the photos and the user's habits cannot turn AI into a feature people change their routines for.

In autumn 2024 expectations were measured. Episode 023 argued that Apple Intelligence did not need to be the best model right away, only a natural layer over everyday use. By episode 025, though, the beta was described as raw: features ran heavily and gave no reason to say anything had changed. Episode 030 made the complaint specific, with suggestions popping up unrequested and leaving the host unsure what was being offered. Episode 031 looked at the Camera Control button.

Through 2025 the channel waited for the promised release and recorded its absence. Episode 040 asked whether Apple could get Apple Intelligence going by March as promised; episode 047 noted the switch of partner from OpenAI to Gemini. Episode 057 covered the class action, where the principle mattered more than the sum: the device had been sold on future AI and the user had paid up front. In episode 065 a test in the car ended with Siri answering a simple question by offering to ask ChatGPT: a feature in a menu and a working product are not the same thing. By episode 075 Apple had said almost nothing about AI at the iPhone 17 event after the previous year's bet on hype.
