If someone has addictions, uses substances occasionally rather than all the time, or goes to parties, is that also an encounter with dark energy? What is it? Or if someone travels somewhere and uses ayahuasca, supposedly for a spiritual experience?

Alexander Volchek

What do you think: if someone wants coffee every day and goes to drink it, do they encounter dark energies? If they brush their teeth every day, can they encounter dark energies or not?

00:42

Galya

Of course.

Alexander Volchek

You agree? I want to add that every part of life can involve endless encounters with dark energies. Take something simple: open Instagram. Can you encounter only warm, light energies there? Yes. You can also encounter an endless number of dark ones. People now have the opportunity to encounter very different energies. Someone living in an isolated village without cell service or internet, doing a very narrow kind of work, could theoretically avoid dark energies. Theoretically. In practice, they encounter them endlessly because they live among Lucifer and Ahriman. They may avoid dark energies as the social framework defines the dark world. But when I mention brushing your teeth, understand that Lucifer and Ahriman are always present. Can you isolate yourself from those energies for a while, say while recording this video or speaking? Yes. You can push those energies aside or move into a particular space.

Sometimes people move into such a space unconsciously. It is a significant action, moving into that isolated space. You have experienced it in various meetings and spiritual sessions with me: you seem to be in a city or somewhere else, yet feel as if you are not there, as if only a phantom or image of you is present. People stop noticing you because the energies are completely isolated, inaccessible. Someone may try to enter that isolated space. But an ordinary person does not live in isolation. Their task is to live calmly while recognizing and understanding that Lucifer and Ahriman are present in the world, in every phone as soon as you pick it up. I remember a description by Rudolf Steiner: put a safe in your house, and that presence is in the safe. In the safe! We use objects with an Ahrimanic basis, such as communications technology or computers. Does that make all of it bad?

No, not at all. Dark energies also exist within and feed on the light spiritual world, let us put it that way—though that is an abstract description. Someone who travels to take substances for what they call a spiritual experience is performing a particular action with a particular concentration. Of course they immerse themselves more deeply in certain worlds and damage their state when they touch weapons, shout at another person, take certain drugs, and so on. Yet can they simultaneously enter states of grace and light worlds? Yes, because there is a spiritual system for which this is part of an experience. A person can be in different states simultaneously. That does not make them better or worse, but different states are possible. Judging someone as holy because they have one set of clothes or live in a cave is a constructed and very conditional idea of asceticism.

It misunderstands asceticism and human consciousness as a whole. What difference does someone's clothing make if, thirty percent of the time, their system produces thoughts of killing people? Does their asceticism consist of fighting those thoughts? What do clothes have to do with it? Can someone communicate endlessly with dark worlds without taking drugs, Galya? Of course they can. Can they come into contact with them? Yes. People want to touch the spiritual world by traveling, taking substances, or attending retreats with various drugs. They get emotionally carried away and call that the spiritual world. But they are in the spiritual world while brushing their teeth. They live in it. Yesterday I was painting, with my daughter sitting opposite me drawing. We have a large space where people sometimes draw. We happened to be doing it at the same time, and she asked what I was painting. You have seen the large painting I gradually add to, section by section.

I said, “The spiritual world.” I thought, what am I painting? Usually people say an apple, a tree, a car, a landscape, something they saw or dreamed, a fairy tale, or a comic. “I am painting the spiritual world.” She asked what that meant, then said, “Uh-huh,” and went away without understanding. I explained, “The world we live in is part of that same spiritual world. I am painting our world, our life.” I was painting part of this life, just as she was drawing trees or something else, part of it. When you ask what someone is drawing, what do you want to hear? She was not drawing trees; she was expressing a state within her. For some reason she noticed them and chose to convey them. She was in a particular process, and the drawing was a process. Which came first: her process or the drawing? We do not know. Some people write music because the music comes first.

Others write music because they are in a particular space and express themselves and that space through music. The music is a secondary effect. We know this and discuss it often: a vision comes, and you want to take certain actions. I may want to start particular business projects or meet particular people. Do I want to meet them and act on that, or do I see a future meeting and develop the desire because of it? Those are very different things. I would not assess dark worlds by a few ordinary events in life. That is completely abstract. Judging people by those events is itself, I think, a form of damage, including to those making the judgment. People commit an incredible amount of evil without socially bad actions. Why measure only those actions? We live in a world that grants a license for evil, and sometimes a license for good that turns into evil.

When you say a person or their spiritual being has been taken over, what does that mean?

08:44

Alexander Volchek

That is a good question, especially for this channel. Here we do deeper work on expanding our perception. Although the channel is called Meditation, its purpose is to guide people toward expanding perception, knowledge, and their exploration of the world. It differs from my other main channel on human development. This is a good place to explore what being taken over means.

09:19

Galya

Let me add something. I think in Meditation 4—perhaps the fourth, but definitely one of the first ten—you mention something about a takeover while transmitting the meditation. I do not remember the exact words, but the phrase afterward is that there will be a price to pay. That is where my question about what a takeover means comes from.

Alexander Volchek

To understand a takeover, we need a broader understanding of how the human system is formed.

How it is put together and understood. What is the human system? Every person is at a particular stage of development within their own evolution. People are at different stages. There is a kind of middle point, but also a minimum and maximum in terms of what can incarnate as a human being. Why a minimum? People with the spiritual-system structure of the Lemurian period of human development are not incarnating now. Nor are people at the maximum level of current human development, at least not in great numbers. Theoretically, that would be the current hierarchy of archangels. We could imagine angels as depicted in icons, discussed, or understood within an evolutionary hierarchy such as Rudolf Steiner's, or even the Christian account. We could, in theory, identify an upper limit.

But the range of possible development is extraordinarily multidimensional. Within it, we can consider what can take over a person: hereditary energies in this moment or incarnation, Lucifer's energies, the country where they were born or live, or the space they inhabit. Could the energies of a corporation take them over structurally? That is a very narrow level of observation. Looking a little higher, at their spiritual being, many human soul-spirit systems today have gone dark. They are not highly developed in their life between death and birth. They are quite dimmed, though they still function, move, and glow to some extent. There are also many points of light outside time where every person shines. Overall, though, the system is dimmed. Is that dimming a takeover, or part of evolution? There is also a different area involving energy.

We filmed something about darkness and light. I do not think it ended up in this particular video; it will probably be separate. If we consider dark structures or systems multidimensionally, could they have taken over a person or their system? Yes. They could settle on the spiritual system like a cancerous tumor and cut it off from perception. I have observed many processes at gatherings where people practiced what is called expelling demons or other forms of takeover. The person very much wants it to happen. But when such a being is expelled at a deep level, the person becomes a different person. That does not mean life has become better or worse. Many people would not want that tumor or demon expelled because it would deprive them of many possibilities they currently have. People do not want to see it that way.

They say, “Can I keep my business, money, joy, happiness, children—everything—and also have the demon expelled?” The point is not what you keep, but which path you want to follow and what genuine development means to you. I am by no means saying that true or light development means lacking social or material benefits. The two are not connected. Those things are part of life and experience. We know this. Recently I was walking down my street. One of my neighbors is a woman who formerly headed Intel. Her house is next to mine, yet I was never the head of Intel. I live beside her, with a better view, lot, and house. I never headed Intel. What is the connection? There are entirely different causes behind the states that arise and what a person actually experiences.

Of course, she has other houses too. I am not trying to elevate myself or put her down. The subject matters, and we need to consider it rationally and calmly, rather than from the frequently repeated position that our surroundings do not matter and only health or something else does. Everything matters.

Everything matters. What are the causes and effects behind one thing or another appearing? They can also relate to different forms of takeover. When I say there will be a price to pay, sometimes a great deal over a very long time, that is a healthy perception of reality. Everyone pays a price because everyone is involved in a karmic process. The karmic process is a reckoning. On the other hand, it is the foundation of natural human development. You could say it is not a reckoning but a person's movement through life, and the idea of a price to pay disappears. I use that language for socially conditioned minds, for people who want to perceive things only socially, so they can recognize the truth of what happens: everything has a price. But what do you pay with? How does a person perceive that price, truly understand causes and effects, and genuinely accept them?

This matters, Galya, because people cannot perceive every cause-and-effect relationship, and that is natural. There is a huge part they will never perceive or understand. That is the nature of human development. If they perceived every causal relationship, they could fulfill them all immediately. This is the starting point: for the rest of your life, you will never attain complete perception of every cause and effect. Never. Your task is not to fulfill all of them. What is the task? To live truthfully and truly learn about what happens. Someone will ask, “Then can I do bad things?” Yes, go ahead: bad things, good things, whatever you choose. You can do bad things. Do you agree that bad actions are possible? Everything is possible. I am asking honestly: can someone do bad things? “I suppose so.” Of course they can. You are looking at me as if to ask what the question is. Of course they can.

So bad actions are possible too. Go ahead, do bad things, do whatever actions you choose. At that point, people do not understand what is happening. Imagine being given permission to do bad things. They ask, “What are you saying? Are you encouraging bad actions?” No, I am not. It is your choice. The question is whether you are aware of the whole connection. That is why I gave the example of understanding connections. While drinking tea, I thought I was not doing something very good for my digestive tract by drinking black tea. Galya is thinking, “You should not sit there drinking tea while speaking and stretch it out for an hour.” Nothing could be worse, right?

It is a bad action to drink tea for a whole hour. Obviously. Let us stop doing that. Am I aware of the consequences within me? Yes. I fully accept that it is a bad action. Why did I do it? For some reason, I did. It stretched out because of the situation I was in. I was not in a restaurant where I had to drink it in five minutes and leave; that would at least have minimized some risk. Drinking it over an hour made it worse. When people ask whether I drink tea or coffee, nobody asks how long I spend drinking it. As someone who likes Chinese teas, I think that question matters. I drink much less now. People around me forbid it, and I forbid myself—or rather, I limit it. We know that lengthy tea drinking is fundamental to the Chinese tradition. There is a big difference between drinking Chinese tea quickly or over a long time, a little or a lot.

A big difference. A close friend from India, a Brahmin in the spiritual system of Vedic astrology, always said that a small portion of Chinese tea is medicine. The point, then, is to drink a lot, because tiny portions can have a powerful effect on the body. A tiny portion of pu-erh from a particular region will be perceived by the body as medicine. Drink four hundred milliliters at once, and the body will perceive it as food, pass it through the system, and clear it out. Is that a big difference? Yes. Two hours of drinking versus two minutes is a big difference. How well do you understand it? What quality is the tea, where is it from, why and when are you drinking it? Before or after food? How much time has passed? What did you eat? What is your system like? Galya, I was born in the Soviet system and you in the post-Soviet system, but our upbringing comes from that system.

We have the concept of medicinal herbs. Living in America, I am always amazed when people ask, “Do you have herbs there? Can you buy them?” You laugh: do they really think countless herbs do not grow in the United States? What are herbs—medicine or not? Is rosemary medicine? For some people or in some countries, it is a medicinal preparation. Elsewhere, you throw it into food and eat it in the same quantities as parsley or dill in Belarus or Russia. A large amount of parsley is as ordinary a food as ivan-chai is an ordinary drink for someone else. It is not medicine for them; for another person, it is. That is an interesting aspect of perception. Why do I give these examples? Because this is a healthy perception of your own system and a genuine understanding of responsibility. Then your responsibility for an action, such as drinking tea, is different.

A doctor's responsibility in describing and explaining it is also different, if they can convey it. We recently filmed a video for my main channel with Tanya, discussing whether a person can continually learn about and pay good attention to another person. I film a lot with Tanya for the main channel, and with Galya for the spiritual channel, the meditation channel. I said, “Imagine that from childhood, every day at school, with your parents at home, with neighbors—everywhere—you continually learn about one another. Every minute, you are taught to understand other people and told how important it is. When you drink tea, eat buckwheat, or someone puts dishes on the table, they explain and show you the whole range of what it really means.

“They neither diminish nor exaggerate its importance, but show what it means in the world, what energy it is. That is a different system of human development.” Then there is no need for separate explanations about dishes, proper utensils, or what is cultured or uncultured. It is enough to explain that you need to study other people. Once you are told to do that continually, you begin to study everything around you yourself. You understand responsibility and more causal relationships, truly becoming aware of them. You begin to understand things you did not understand: cucumbers, tomatoes, honey, men, women, school, mathematics, physics—everything. It is an entirely different way of knowing the world. Two days ago I had an interesting experience with responsibility. My daughter said, “I was invited to a birthday party and agreed to go, but I do not want to. What should I do?” I said, “You can decline.”

She asked, “Can I write that I am sick and that is why I am not coming?” I said, “That is a lie.”

“But I am lying either way.” I said, “Not necessarily. If you write that you cannot make it, that is not a lie. You cannot make it.” We kept discussing it. I said, “You will still bear responsibility either way.” She asked why. “Because you agreed to visit someone you now say you do not want to visit as a person. You are responsible for what you feel and think, for how you relate to that person, and for not thinking it through at the time.” Tearfully, she said, “I did not think. I made a quick decision. At the time I wanted to help this person and that person, and now I do not.” I said, “You are the one who does not want to. You wanted to help, so get ready and go to the birthday party tomorrow with a joyful heart.

“Have a good day together.” “It will be boring. There may not be any decent people there.” I said, “You will bear responsibility. Decline, then. Even through this conversation, you are already bearing that responsibility.” The longer we spoke, the more I saw it and showed her that she should go after all. But I explained that her only way through it was to go with love and acceptance. Another friend was going too; they could ask each other, “Why are we relating to people this way? Why are we saying this? Let us just go in a good state and a good mood.” It is a difficult situation to observe, experience, become aware of, and understand. We have all lived through thousands of such states and details and made wrong or good decisions. It is hard to see what is humane and true if you look superficially. But if you look within and truly see love, harmony, and joy in every person, everything else disappears at that moment.

Then it makes no difference whether you go to the birthday party. What matters is how you truly relate to it and whether you are prepared to look at it truthfully. The child's task was to see a little more truth. It was late, around nine thirty in the evening, when I and most of the household are usually asleep. The other children were sitting there, including my daughter who is four years younger than the eldest. She wanted to say something, and I raised my hand. She said, “Okay,” and left. Then I called her back: “Iveta, what did you want to say? Did you have some advice?” She returned and said, “Of course you should go. Otherwise you hurt the person's feelings.” I thought how interesting it was that this conversation affects not just one person or the person holding the birthday party, but a whole group.

It affects those listening, those nearby, and all the future interactions among them. A great many people are affected. Why? Because people do not truly look at what is happening or see causes and effects. They measure life by simple things: are you my friend or not, do we spend a lot of time together or little, are we in a good mood or a bad one?

Of course, it is not easy to hear. Yesterday I spent a long time telling my wife something I have said repeatedly: in my view, I will try to treat my children the same as other people's children, my children the same as her, and her the same as my mother, sister, or the woman selling ice cream on the street. Try. Do I always succeed? No. Sometimes I favor her, someone else, or a child. But I want to do this; I dream of it in the positive sense. It is not really a dream or a goal, but a true experience of my life. I want to be in that state of knowing. Is it easy for my wife to hear? Very difficult. On the one hand, you might want your husband to say that. You want him to be exploring, learning, free, and perceptive, because you want that direction of attention and movement in understanding people yourself.

On the other hand, if he said it, you might react differently in certain situations. This requires communication, ongoing discussion, and living through it. Without bravado, without trying to look better or cooler, get more likes or views, win praise, or be liked or disliked—act from truth. Galya, I have not yet met a single person to whom I have explained this personally who could tell me anything different.
